I need to replace old hardware with Win10. The hardware isn´t compatible with Win11. Does the latest version of the viewer work with Win11? Do you have any experiences? Thanks a lot

Unfortunately, I don't have access to specific software compatibility details or user experiences about "GALILEOS Viewer" with Windows 11. I recommend checking the official website of the software or reaching out to its support team for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding compatibility with Windows 11. Additionally, user forums and communities might provide firsthand experiences and insights on this matter.

I had a dental scan at the dentist and for my record, I was given a disk contain the Galileos software and the scanned images files, but the software is for Windows only and I'm a Mac user, or is there a way to convert the images into a more common file formats (ie. JPEG) without having the software installed? Thank you.

As of my knowledge cutoff date, the GALILEOS Viewer is designed for Windows only, and there isn't a native Mac version available. For Mac users, one option is to run Windows on Mac using software like Boot Camp, Parallels Desktop, or VMware Fusion, allowing you to install and use the GALILEOS Viewer.

Alternatively, to convert the images to a more common format like JPEG without using the GALILEOS software, you could check if the disk includes DICOM files, which are commonly used for medical imaging. There are DICOM viewers available for Mac that might support exporting images to formats like JPEG or PNG. Some popular ones include OsiriX, Horos, or RadiAnt DICOM Viewer, though it's essential to verify each application's capabilities to ensure it meets your specific needs. Always make sure to comply with privacy regulations when handling medical images.

The message indicates that there is data that hasn't been imported yet, and if you proceed, it will be lost. To get the data to where it needs to be, you should pause the exposure or process that the software is performing and import the pending data first. Check the program's import or data management options to ensure the data is properly saved or moved before continuing. Once you have confirmed the data has been secured, you can then proceed without the risk of losing it.

Does GALILEOS Viewer work on OS X, too? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, it seems that Sirona only makes Windows software, which means that there is no version of GALILEOS Viewer that's compatible with Macs. However, you may still be able to use the program on an Apple computer, but you need to set up a Windows emulator such as Boot Camp or WineBottler first, then install and run the application through that emulator.

Every time I try to install Galileos 1.9 on my Windows 10 I get an error saying "A critical error occurred in the application. error type: system exception" and a description saying current user failed: cannot get user settings: syntax error(missing operator) in query expression. What should I do to get Galileos installed?

I don't know where and how you got the 1.9 version, but the only one that I've found is GALILEOS Viewer version 1.8. I've initialized the installation process and it worked out of the box without issues or other errors.

Re-download the 1.8 version and then right click the setup.exe file and choose Run as Administrator because that's what I did on Windows 10 and it worked without issues.

Also, while you're at it, install latest version of Net Framework and Visual Runtime C++.

You might have an older version of the software because I've downloaded the latest one and it works just fine. The version I have was downloaded from the official website and I am currently installing it in Windows 10 x64 operating system.

it is writing this all the time i try to open any project.

Answer by Pooja Bajaj

This error message typically indicates a problem with memory allocation in the GALILEOS Viewer program for Windows. It suggests that the program is unable to allocate enough memory to load the data for any project. This could be due to various factors such as insufficient system resources or a software bug. To resolve this issue, you could try closing any unnecessary programs running in the background, restarting your computer, or reinstalling the GALILEOS Viewer software. If the problem persists, it may be worth contacting the software's support team for further assistance.

Hello,
I am a software engineer, I copy the file with extension '.gwg' and those folder from the CD to the patient's folder, but I cannot open it with Galileo View software.
I have to run the Galileo View software and open the relevant slices with it.
yours sincerely

Answer by Saumya Sharma

No, unfortunately this question cannot be answered with a simple yes or no. The best way to answer this question would be to provide instructions on how to open the .gwg file with the Galileo View software.
